Experience
Private Practice - Navigating Life Counselling
July 2024 to Present
I have been self-employed in private practice since July 2024, supporting clients with a range of presenting issues, including anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma, and personal growth. I provide a safe, confidential space where clients can explore their challenges and build resilience. I believe counselling is a collaborative journey, and I continue to learn so much from my clients, I feel privileged to share in their growth. It brings me great joy to support people in discovering their strengths and creating positive change in their lives.
To further support my clients, through additional training, I have expanded my practice to include couples counselling.
St Martins Counselling & Psychotherapy, Birmingham
July 2024 to Dec 2024
Counselling adults dealing with diverse challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, abuse, and bereavement. I focus on building deep, trusting and ‘real’ therapeutic relationships where clients feel truly heard and understood. Through consistent, meaningful engagement, I am able to help clients work through their difficulties, fostering resilience and facilitating significant personal growth.
Burton & South Derbyshire College
April 2023 to June 2024
During my placement, I worked with 16-22 year old students who were navigating issues like anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, bereavement, sexuality, gender identity, and low self-worth. Understanding the unique pressures and uncertainties young adults face such as identity struggles, academic stress, and social challenges I was able to meet them where they were, creating a comfortable, non-judgmental space, building trust by showing genuine empathy and offering support tailored to their specific needs, helping them feel heard and understood.
